POL 3.050 Board of Trustee Awards
Honorary Associate Degree
The Board of Trustees, at its discretion, may grant Honorary Associate’s degrees to honor meritorious and outstanding service to the College and/or the community at large. These individuals may be nominated by individual Board members, by current and/or past employees of the College, by students and/or alumni, or by community members. The Honorary Associate’s degree is the highest form of recognition offered by Kirtland Community College to persons of exceptional distinction.
Distinguished Service Award
The Board of Trustees, at its discretion, may grant the Distinguished Service Award to those individuals who have significantly contributed to the growth of Kirtland Community College and who have had a lasting impact on the longevity of the College. These individuals may be nominated by individual Board members, by current and/or past employees of the College, by students and/or alumni, or by community members.
Emeritus/Honoraire Status Award
Emeritus Status
The title “emeritus” may be granted to each faculty member or administrator who retires directly from Kirtland Community College and has completed ten consecutive years of outstanding service and whose commitment has made a lasting and aspirational impact at Kirtland Community College.These individuals may be nominated by individual Board members or current employees of the College.
Honoraire Status
The title “honoraire” may be granted to each classified staff member who retires directly from Kirtland Community College and has completed ten consecutive years of outstanding service and whose commitment has made a lasting and aspirational impact at Kirtland Community College. Members of the Board of Trustees who serve on the board for ten consecutive years may also be granted honoraire status. These individuals may be nominated by individual Board members or current employees of the College.
