KCC to host ‘open house’ June 28 at firing range (June 19) The Criminal Justice Department at Kirtland Community College is inviting the public to an open house at its firing range from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 28.
(May 30) The legendary beat of the Gene Krupa Orchestra will take center stage at the Kirtland Center for the Performing Arts, located on Kirtland Community College’s main campus near Roscommon, for one show only at 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 7. Former KCC employee arrested on weapons charges (May 22) An ex-employee of Kirtland Community College was arrested for a second time Tuesday, May 20, after the former maintenance department employee allegedly brought a firearm on to the college’s main campus before normal operational hours on Thursday, May 15.
(May 12) A drawing by a Roscommon Middle School eighth-grader was selected as the overall winner in the annual Kirtland’s Warbler Festival’s Young Artists Calendar contest and will be featured on the front cover of the 2008-09 edition of the calendar.
(May 7) Two members of Roscommon High School’s cross country teams will continue to kick up their heels this upcoming fall, having recently signed letters of intent to run for Kirtland Community College.
(May 7) The Kirtland Center for the Performing Arts is helping provide what is sure to be an entertaining finale to the 15th annual Kirtland’s Warbler Festival on Saturday, May 17, by hosting a special concert.

(April 30) The high-energy, Upper Peninsula quartet, Chasin’ Steel, will bring its unique bluegrass sound to the Kirtland Center for the Performing Arts, on Kirtland Community College’s main campus near Roscommon, for one show only Saturday, May 10, at 8 p.m. KCC hosts annual nursing conference in Grayling (April 15) Kirtland Community College’s Department of Nursing is inviting all area nurses to its annual Spring Nursing Conference, “Take This Job and Love It,” on Tuesday, May 13, at the Ramada Inn Conference Center in Grayling. Kirtland plans festivities to mark Earth Week (April 15) Kirtland Community College wants to help people to think “green” and is hosting a series of activities to mark Earth Week 2008 on April 21-25 at its main campus near Roscommon. Police academy to graduate 26th class April 25 (April 15) The Kirtland Regional Police Academy will honor its 26th graduating class during ceremonies at the Kirtland Center for the Performing Arts on Kirtland Community College’s main campus Friday, April 25.
