POL 6.015 Credit Hour Limit

A full-time student is defined as a student who is enrolled for 12 or more credit hours during the fall or winter semester or 6 or more credit hours during the summer session.

A part-time student is defined as a student who is enrolled for 11 or fewer credit hours during the fall or winter semester or 5 or fewer credit hours during the summer session.

Students enrolling for more than 18 credit hours for the fall or winter semester, or more than 8 credit hours for the summer session, must receive permission from their dean, associate dean, or designee. In the instance where the college catalog lists more than 18 hours as a suggested semester load, students may register without need of additional permission.
