High-Demand, High-Pay, High-Advancement, High-Flexibility Opportunities
IT Technicians
Computer technicians work in all environments to support the business operations, technology needs, and computer users of major industries from healthcare to education to corporate businesses. This means that, unlike many career paths, you can choose where and how you work: in an office, on a team, from home…
Some technicians provide direct service to team members—finding solutions to tech issues and fixing things when they get broken. Other professionals work behind-the-scenes to address large-scale tech needs for the business operations, server rooms, and technical systems that power many industries.
Cyber Security Specialists
This highly-specialized field is exploding in demand—with thousands of new threats assessed each year resulting in a 46% higher employment demand than other technical positions. Currently, there are 1.8 million unfilled cyber security positions worldwide, with nearly 11,000 of those in Michigan.
Our two-year program is fully-online and taught by industry experts from across the country. Because of its flexible format, it’s perfect for self-motivated students who are already working in tech fields or for those just starting out. The program can be taken as a standalone or as a foundation for a four-year degree.
Graduates will assist businesses, corporations, industries, and even governmental agencies in defining plans and processes to protect against cyber threats and intrusions. You’ll analyze systems and incidents and provide crucial guidance for securing systems and processes.
Learn it. Do it.
The Computer Information Technology degrees at Kirtland Community College are designed to provide students with the education and hands-on technical experience they need to succeed. These programs blend theory with practical, real-world experiences, and our Testing Center offers industry certifications to round out professional credentials.
