Classes meet every Wednesday night in the fitness room inside the gym

• Beginner class is 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
• Intermediate class is 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
• Advanced class is 7:30 to 8 p.m.

Cost is $10/class if paid in advance for the month or $15/class if paying per class at a drop in rate.

About M&M Cloggers

M&M Cloggers was formed in 2020 by Melissa Roebuck and Mike Metiva after a fun, informative and inspiring weekend at Smoky Mountain Encore (a clogging workshop) in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. 

Melissa’s background is rooted in ballet, but she fell in love with clogging as a freshman at CMU. She performed with the university’s recreational team “The Outsiders”, sat on the executive board and choreographed for the performance team “Extreme Percussion”, and traveled to national workshops around the country.  After only 2 years of clogging, she landed a spot in the show “Rhythm Dance” in Branson, Missouri, which changed her life in huge ways!  After moving to Grayling in 2002, Melissa started the clogging team, “Just for Kicks”, in Roscommon, which today is led by Sarah Medler.  Currently, Melissa teaches ballet, clogging and musical theater and is the choreographer for the Grayling High School Players. 

Mike began his dance journey in 2016 at Grayling High School on the set of Guys and Dolls.  As the crazy choreographer (Melissa) threw more and more steps at him, he realized that dancing was his niche and he wanted to learn everything he could.  He performed in all 8 plays and musicals at GHS during his high school career, even serving as dance captain for 2 years.  He took ballet and clogging classes at the local studio and when he graduated, he furthered his dance education at CMU.  Presently, he is finishing his last year of college and focusing on graduating with his degree in event management.  He still pops in to classes whenever his schedule allows.

In 2021, Mike and Melissa were joined by another “M”—Michael Roebuck.  Born in Florida and raised in Georgia, Michael recently moved to northern Michigan to begin a new chapter of his life.  His dance career, spanning over 30 years, has taken him around the world 3 times, earned him both national and world championship titles, and has won him a place in the National Clogging Hall of Fame.  He has done nearly every job in the dance industry including teaching, performing, studio ownership, competition judging, choreography, and production.  Michael is looking forward to introducing northerners to “real Southern clogging” and to taking M&M Cloggers to new he
