Kirtland’s Commencement ceremony originally scheduled for May 1, 2020 has been postponed as a preventative measure due to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Another date has not been rescheduled at this time. Students signed up for commencement will receive information in their Kmail after further decisions have been made about the ceremony.

Do you know the difference between graduation and Commencement?
Graduation is the actual awarding of a degree or certificate. They are awarded each semester (Fall, Winter and Summer). The graduation and diploma dates are always the last day of the graduating semester.
Commencement is the ceremony honoring those receiving degrees and certificates. Kirtland Community College holds commencement on the last Friday of the Winter semester.
The process of preparation for graduation and commencement can be confusing. Visit our Steps to Graduate page for a detailed step-by-step guide.
Will I be able to keep my KMail after graduating?
Yes, you will continue to have access to your account as long as Kirtland continues to use Google as their email server.
You may contact Renae Klee at 989-275-5000 ext. 291 with any further questions or concerns.
