POL 4.060 Salon Services in the Cosmetology Department
As part of the curriculum, the Cosmetology Program may provide salon services to members of the public, other students, and employees and charge for those services. The salon may also sell personal care products to members of the public.
Nominal fees for services charged to the client will help offset supply costs and shall be determined by the lead instructor and the Dean of Occupational Programs.
Monies collected for services and products may be processed by students on a cash register with instructor oversight. Receipts should be balanced daily to the register and deposited with the Student Financial Services Office where they will be posted to the general fund.
Students can accept tips.
