Kirtland provides up to three days bereavement leave, with pay, per occurrence, to an employee in the event of a death in the immediate family. Immediate family is defined as spouse, child (including biological, adopted, foster, step, or legal ward), parent (including step, in-laws), brother, sister, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandparent (including step, in-laws), grandchild, aunt or uncle, or relative living at the employee’s residence where the employee has day-to-day responsibility for the individual.
