Senior Citizens Scholarship
If you are at least 60 years old and reside In-District, you are eligible for a scholarship covering up to 3 credit hours of in-district tuition.
- How to apply: Provide your date of birth and SSN on your Application for Admission.
- Next Steps: Once you register, the Student Accounts Office will automatically credit the scholarship to your tuition bill.
- Note: Seniors remain responsible for textbooks and any specific course fees.

Qualifying for in-district tuition
Otsego County residents taking courses at the Gaylord Campus will be assessed in-district tuition rates. All eligible courses will have a course number ending with ‘M’. Classes taken at the Grayling Campus or online will be charged at the out-of-district rate.

Course Fees: A flat rate applied to specific classes to cover specialized equipment, lab materials, liability insurance, or online technology. Varies by course and term. See Tuition & Fees for details.
Textbooks & Supplies: Not included in tuition.

College Services Fee: Assessed per contact hour to support academic advising, classroom upgrades, registration services, and campus technology.
Graduation & Regalia
Prior to registering for your final semester, a Request to Graduate form must be completed. An email will be sent to the student’s Kmail account with the Registrar’s official audit results. There is no fee for the audit or diploma.
One graduation ceremony per year is offered on the last Friday of the winter semester. The deadline for ordering regalia thru the Campus Store is March 1st. To order please call the Bookstore at (989) 275-5000 ext. 273.
Potential Penalties & Fines
- Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF): A $25.00 fee (plus any bank charges) is assessed for any checks returned unpaid.
- Library Fines: Overdue or lost book fines, including equipment, must be settled before you can register for future classes or obtain your official transcripts.
- Parking Tickets: Fines are only issued for vehicles parked in restricted or prohibited zones.
