Health Sciences for Future Heroes
About the healthcare field
There isn’t a one-size-fits-all career for those interested in becoming medical professionals. It takes a team of specialized caregivers to provide patients’ quality care and services.
From the phlebotomists and medical assistants who are often the first people patients interact with, to the cardiac sonographers and surgical technologists assisting providers with medical procedures, to the nurses charged with direct patient care, one thing holds true: the best healthcare practitioners have a passion for their work and feel called into a high-demand and high-reward career that can literally save lives.
We are so proud to have equipped generations with the skills to heal people and help patients navigate the sometimes overly-complex systems of healthcare services and costs.
Are you called to Healthcare?
Though your daily work differs depending on the healthcare route you take, you’ll need compassion, organization, and determination to be excellent in this field. You’ll need stamina and an unwavering commitment to helping others and to lifelong learning so that you provide quality care across time.
Which of our programs is “best” for you depends on what attracts you to a medical field and your personal strengths. Each program requires varying levels of direct patient care and people skills, administration and organizational skills, and scientific mastery. Our students prepare for their careers through a mix of classroom, lab simulation, and real-life clinical experiences.
Some careers, like medical assistant, phlebotomy, and nursing involve high-levels of direct patient care—taking vitals, drawing blood, administering medicines and care instructions, etc. Surgical Technology and Cardiac Sonography provide essential medical services and are perfect for students fascinated with human anatomy. Careers in medical billing and coding and the administrative work of medical assistants center on the business and records side of medical care and allow for a standard “day job” schedule.

The next time you receive care by a cardiac sonographer, phlebotomist, nurse, or medical assistant, ask if that professional went to Kirtland—you’ll see what we mean!
Nationally Accredited
Our programs are nationally accredited, meaning that they are held to the highest professional standards, and you’ll be recognized by employers as having achieved the skills they require.
Results that Matter
Our students achieve between 90%-100% pass rates on the licensure exams attached to our healthcare programs. And, graduates often get significant job offers before they graduate. Because healthcare workers are in such high demand, some new employees are being offered $10,000-$20,000 sign-on bonuses by healthcare systems. Those are only a few reasons why we boast over 90% job placement for our healthcare graduates!
Innovation in Learning
Kirtland’s Grayling facility modernized all of its healthcare learning labs and technologies to ensure that students practice skills that directly relate to what they’ll practice in their career. Our simulation labs are so advanced that they recreate actual clinical experiences to prepare students for the real thing.
