POL 2.065 Auxiliary Enterprises
The Board of Trustees may recognize and approve auxiliary organizations/enterprises established to provide supportive services and maintain financial records of college functions.
Auxiliary enterprises may include (but not limited to):
- Bookstore/Retail Services
- Food Services
- Catering Services
- Concessions
- Conference Room Rental
- Event Center Rental
- Student Housing
- Vending Services
- Firing Range
- Gaylord-MTEC
- University Center Operations
- Lease of college properties
It shall be the established practice of Auxiliary Enterprises to provide goods and services that support students, staff, and the public’s needs at reasonable prices consistent with sound business practices. Auxiliary Enterprises will conduct business in accordance with the administrative procedures that are linked to this policy.
All costs for supplies, equipment, wages, and services will be administered per the budget submitted by each department annually and approved by the Board of Trustees through the budget process. All net proceeds or profits will be transferred back to the general fund or auxiliary fund at the end of the fiscal year.
No other goods or services will be sold on the campus without written permission from the President (or his/her designee).
Third-party vendor approval should be through the President (or his/her designee). The President (or his/her designee) has the responsibility to review and approve any vendor contract for Auxiliary Services and has the discretion to determine if an attorney contract review is needed.
