Institutional Scholarships
High School Excellence Award – GPA of 3.5 + and SAT Composite of 1100+
$1,000 semester/$2,000 year
application process:
- Apply for regular admission
- Submit your official final high school transcript and your SAT scores
- Register for a minimum of 12 college-level (10000 or above) credits per semester before August 1.
No separate scholarship application needed.
Renewable for a consecutive 2nd year upon completion of 24 college-level credits (10000 or above) & 3.0+ GPA. Eligible credits must apply to student’s declared program of study. Credits earned prior to the Fall 2025 semester do not count toward total.
$500 semester/$1,000 year

The Bernard F. and Melissa Anne Bailey Family Fund is a student scholarship program administered by MidMichigan Health, funded through a gift from Bernard F. and Melissa Anne Bailey. Scholarships are given to students in health care fields on the basis of merit and established criteria as determined by an overseer committee.
Eligible applicants must be a resident or have immediate family living in any of the following mid-Michigan counties: Alcona, Alpena, Arenac, Bay, Cheboygan, Chippewa, Clare, Crawford, Gladwin, Gratiot, Huron, Iosco, Isabella, Mackinac, Mecosta, Midland, Montcalm, Montmorency, Ogemaw, Oscoda, Otsego, Presque Isle, Roscommon and Saginaw, and Sanilac.
MidMichigan Health/Bailey Scholarships Criteria and Application
Applications for the upcoming school year will be accepted beginning December 1 of each year with the deadline of April 1.
The Gerrish-Higgins/Roscommon Alumni Association offers Scholarships to Roscommon High School graduates whose parent, grandparent, or legal guardian also attended Gerrish-Higgins/Roscommon High School.
Application Deadline: April 1st go be recognized at Roscommon Senior Awards Night; otherwise, none as applications are accepted throughout the year.
The Jason Potter Memorial Fund’s Mission for this scholarship is to provide additional funding for an adult who is continuing their education while facing the daily demands of life. Deadline dates for each semester: Fall semester – July 31 , Winter semester – Dec 31, and Summer semester April 31.

This scholarship is for the children of Marines and Navy Corpsmen pursuing a post-secondary education at any accredited school—whether that be a career training, trade school, community college, or four-year university. This is a financial need scholarship and will be awarded to every eligible applicant.
The scholarship application is open year-round for students pursuing career and technical education programs less than 12 months in length. Students can apply at www.mcsf.org. For programs longer than 12 months, our application is open from January 1 to March 1 each year.
