To apply for financial aid, you must do EACH of the following steps:
Step 1: Apply for Admission
If you haven’t already, complete an Application for Admission to Kirtland Community College.
Step 2: File a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
The 2023-2024 FAFSA is available from October 1, 2022, through June 30, 2024.
This FAFSA determines aid for Fall 2023/Winter 2024/Summer 2024.
If you are unable to complete the FAFSA online, select the link below to complete a paper application.
This takes much longer to process as it must be mailed to the Federal Student Aid Program.
Step 3: Wait for your application to be processed
Within 30 days of submitting the FAFSA, you will receive a copy of your Student Aid Report (SAR). The Student Aid Report will be used to determine which aid programs you are eligible for, and how much aid you will receive. Kirtland’s Student Financial Services Office will contact you by email once your application is received and reviewed.
Transfer Students
Transfer students seeking aid at Kirtland should have the College’s Title IV code (007171) added to their Student Aid Report. Transfer students should contact Student Financial Services for details on how to transfer their aid.
