Refunds & Important Deadlines
100% Refund Drop Deadlines
To receive a full refund, you must drop your courses by the following dates:
Semester | Full Course (16-Week) Deadline | Short Course Deadline |
Summer 2026 | May 27 | Prior to Census Date* |
Fall 2026 | September 4 | Prior to Census Date* |
Winter 2027 | January 29 | Prior to Census Date* |
*Short courses (less than 16 weeks) must be dropped before 10% of the course length has passed.
Automatic Refunds: If Kirtland cancels a course, you will automatically receive a 100% refund of all tuition and fees.
Extenuating Circumstances: If you missed the deadline due to an emergency, please submit a Tuition Refund Appeal Application.
Get Your Refund Faster with Direct Deposit
Why wait for the mail? Direct deposit is the most secure and fastest way to receive your Pell Grants, loans, and credit balances.
How to Sign Up:
- Log in to myKirtland.
- Select the Student tab.
- Under My Account Detail, click the red link: “Direct Deposit for Student Refunds.”
- Enter your birth date and bank info, then click Submit.
