Students who register for a course that is later canceled due to insufficient enrollment will be refunded all tuition and fees relative to the canceled course.
Exceptions to the refund policy may be considered when students have extenuating circumstances. Please refer to the Tuition Refund Appeal Application. For questions regarding the refund policy, please call the Student Accounts Office at 989-275-5000 ext. 412 or send an e-mail to: [email protected].
Direct Deposit
The College offers direct deposit as a more convenient means of providing refunds to students. Refunds of Pell Grants, Student Loans, and other credit balances can be directly deposited into an account of your choice!

- No mailing delays due to change of address or forwarding orders

Sign up for direct deposit today!
- Log in to our secure site at https://my.kirtland.edu/ICS/
- Select “Student” from the blue heading.
- On the right-hand side in the My Account Detail pane, click on the red link labeled “Direct Deposit for Student Refunds”
- Enter your birth date and bank information.
- Click “Submit”. You will see a “Thank You” window letting you know we have received your information.

When do I get my refund?
Students with a credit balance on their tuition account can refer to the following refund schedule. These dates can vary for students receiving financial aid (Pell, loans, etc.) and having multiple disbursement dates or having courses with a later start date. Be sure to review your specific disbursement dates in Net Partner or contact the Student Accounts Office for assistance at 989-275-5000 ext. 412.
